A Government Agency Manages Its Green Infrastructure Services Better With Oracle

Public Sector

CLIENT

Our client is a regional government agency that manages wastewater treatment, flood management, and green infrastructure for a leading city in the U.S.

CHALLENGES

The client was using a combination of legacy applications, Microsoft Excel based tools, and manual processes to manage their day-to-day tasks. For example, planning and budgeting was manually performed with Microsoft Excel. General Ledger (GL) was a manually maintained, labor-intensive, and error-prone process that required a lot of reconciliation activity at period close. Similarly, various systems were used to manage resources hiring and tracking. Human Capital Management (HCM) was performed with paper based manual processes for managing hiring documentation and checklists, employee time and vacations, and employee benefits. The manual processes did not provide real-time insights on GL, projects, and the payroll activities as the data was scattered across multiple systems and tools.

To overcome operational challenges, the client decided to implement Oracle Cloud based solutions. HTC Global Services was selected as the implementation partner based on the IT support services we provided for their legacy systems earlier.
