Digitizing 19th Century Newspaper Collections

The client is the largest reference library in the world and is responsible for maintaining and developing the national collection of library materials.

THE CHALLENGE

The client had challenges in maintaining the physical copies of several high-density articles with varying content structure. They also felt the need to digitize over 4 million pages of 19th century news paper collections as part of their mass digitization program to enable easy online access to researchers and the public.

HTC was selected as a prime vendor for this digitization project.
