Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) are the bedrock of the Indian economy, contributing significantly to its GDP and employment. However, their rapid digitization has exposed them to a burgeoning and sophisticated landscape of cyber threats. This white paper examines the critical state of information security within Indian small and medium enterprises, delving into the profound impact of security breaches on their operations, finances, and reputation. It explores the common vulnerabilities and challenges faced by these enterprises and outlines practical, cost-effective security measures.
