Manufacturing Quality Engineer
Overview / Summary
We are seeking a Manufacturing Quality Engineer to apply engineering principles and analytical techniques to establish, maintain, and continuously improve manufacturing processes and products. This role collaborates with cross-functional teams including production team members, supervisors, engineers, and quality personnel to support process compliance, quality initiatives, and continuous improvement efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Support compliance with quality operating systems and quality process requirements.
- Update and maintain process control documentation and process risk assessment documentation.
- Maintain engineering and quality-related documentation and records.
- Support department process updates and documentation requirements.
- Assist with measurement system compliance activities and quality documentation management.
- Conduct periodic reviews of process control plans and quality-related observations.
- Provide summaries and follow-up actions related to performance improvement and cost reduction initiatives.
- Support change management activities and associated documentation updates.
- Maintain quality health metrics and reporting.
- Collaborate with process engineering teams to develop and implement corrective actions and improvement plans.
- Coach and support both salaried and hourly team members on quality and process-related requirements.
- Work with multiple departments to ensure adherence to plant quality guidelines and established processes.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives using innovative solutions and a customer-focused mindset.
- Communicate effectively with team members, leaders, business partners, and customers.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in Manufacturing or Quality.
- Knowledge of manufacturing processes.
- Understanding of quality assurance concepts and standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.
- Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement.
- Strong technical and professional skills with the ability to ensure process compliance.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- Experience in Process Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience with Microsoft applications.
- Manufacturing experience.
