Software Engineer – Java Microservices & Cloud

Overview / Summary:
We are seeking a Software Engineer to design and maintain high-scale platform services supporting identity management, onboarding processes, and device lifecycle operations. This is a hands-on role focused on building secure, resilient, and highly available distributed systems in a cloud-based environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Take end-to-end ownership of software services and supporting platforms
Design and deploy reactive microservices using Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate JPA, and Kubernetes
Build and maintain high-performance REST and gRPC APIs using Swagger and Postman
Refactor APIs and microservices to improve scalability, efficiency, and simplicity
Manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub, Argo, SonarQube, and Fossa
Follow Test Driven Development (TDD) and clean coding practices
Implement canary deployment strategies for production environments
Perform API load and performance testing to ensure system resiliency
Monitor platform health using Datadog, Prometheus, and Grafana
Participate in anomaly detection and incident diagnostics processes
Support critical applications in a high-availability production environment
Collaborate with cross-functional teams on integration, testing, and issue resolution
Participate in architectural discussions and solution design sessions
Identify and adopt new technologies to meet evolving business needs
Contribute to technical best practices and team efficiency improvements

Required Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in cloud-based development using Java and Spring Boot
3+ years of experience with cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS, or Azure
Experience with Java reactive programming
Hands-on experience with microservices architecture and Kubernetes
Experience with Apache Kafka and PostgreSQL
Strong understanding of REST APIs, gRPC, JSON, Swagger, and Postman
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and practices
Knowledge of cloud security concepts such as OAuth2, OIDC, and SAML
Experience supporting high-availability, always-on production systems
Strong understanding of modern software architecture and cloud computing
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
