Job Title:
Network Administrator (Enterprise Infrastructure & SD-WAN)
Overview / Summary:
The Network Administrator will support enterprise network and identity services within the Network Operations Center. This role focuses on deployment, operations, troubleshooting, and maintenance of network infrastructure, including SD-WAN, PKI, and secure authentication services. The position requires collaboration with IT teams and agency staff to ensure reliable and secure network performance across multiple locations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support enterprise network and identity initiatives, including SD-WAN, PKI lifecycle management, and secure authentication services
- Monitor, identify, and remediate issues within enterprise network and identity services
- Troubleshoot network connectivity on Windows-based systems and mobile devices
- Deploy, configure, and support switches, wireless access points, and network solutions
- Perform network installations, upgrades, and infrastructure lifecycle management
- Conduct firmware, software, and security upgrades across network platforms
- Manage and resolve tickets related to network, authentication, and connectivity issues
- Create, maintain, and improve network documentation and diagrams
- Coordinate testing and validation of network and identity solutions
- Collaborate with Network, Security, Server Hosting teams, and other stakeholders
- Provide technical support to IT and non-IT staff for network-related issues
- Track tasks and provide regular status updates to the project manager
- Follow change management processes and adhere to IT/security policies
- Assist with physical network tasks including equipment installation and racking
- Travel to remote sites across the state as required
Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience with enterprise network infrastructure and LAN administration
- 3+ years of experience installing, configuring, and troubleshooting switches and wireless access points
- 3+ years of experience with SD-WAN, PKI, and secure authentication services
- 3+ years of experience troubleshooting network connectivity on Windows and mobile devices
- 3+ years of experience creating and maintaining network documentation and diagrams
- Associate’s degree in a relevant field or high school diploma with equivalent work experience
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and work on ladders
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to remote locations
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Network certifications from CompTIA, Cisco, or Microsoft (active or inactive)
- Cisco Networking Academy or similar training/bootcamp experience
