Quality & Reliability Engineer

Overview / Summary

We are seeking a Quality & Reliability Engineer to support supplier quality, APQP/PPAP activities, launch readiness, and cross-functional program coordination. This role will work closely with suppliers and internal teams to manage quality deliverables, track program milestones, and support manufacturing launch activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and manage New Tooled End Items (NTEI) for assigned programs.
  • Represent suppliers and participate in cross-functional meetings.
  • Develop and maintain program-specific NTEI files and update program information in the eAPQP system.
  • Coordinate supplier setup activities, including Schedule A submission requests and site code management.
  • Lead supplier selection activities using priority and supplier champion processes.
  • Train suppliers and cross-functional teams on supplier engagement processes and APQP/PPAP readiness assessments.
  • Track completion of supplier evaluations and monitor APQP/PPAP deliverables.
  • Manage PPAP and Schedule A submission status and communicate requirements to stakeholders.
  • Prepare documentation for milestone reviews and special assessment reviews.
  • Drive resolution of quality deliverables and escalation items with cross-functional teams.
  • Participate in change control and program team meetings to support launch readiness activities.
  • Support part pedigree reviews and industrialization readiness assessments prior to builds.
  • Manage phased PPAP timing plans and coordinate issue resolution activities to support on-time approvals.
  • Organize cross-functional meetings to resolve PPAP and launch-related concerns.
  • Monitor and escalate supplier launch risks and significant quality issues.
  • Support launch and build events as required.
  • Drive resolution of supplier quality concerns using issue management and corrective action processes, including containment and 8D follow-up activities.
  • Support startup quality meetings, customer audit activities, campaign prevention initiatives, craftsmanship reviews, and shortage meetings.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience in manufacturing and quality environments
  • Cross-functional collaboration experience
  • Program management experience
  • Six Sigma Green Belt
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Experience with APQP and PPAP processes
  • Technical assistance experience

  • Fully onsite role
  • Standard morning shift
  • No travel required
