  Job Title: Senior Palo Alto Cloud Security Engineer (AWS & Azure)

Overview / Summary

The Senior Palo Alto Cloud Security Engineer will collaborate with Product Owners, Application Owners, Network, and Security teams to design and deliver large-scale cloud infrastructure and application security solutions. This is a hands-on delivery role focused on implementing and maintaining secure cloud environments across public and hybrid cloud models. The position requires strong expertise in Palo Alto cloud firewalls, cloud architecture, and security design. This is not a developer role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and deploy highly available, scalable, and secure cloud infrastructure with a focus on AWS and Azure.
  • Manage and deploy Palo Alto VM-Series firewalls in AWS and Azure cloud environments.
  • Manage and deploy F5 BIG-IP LTM and ASM in AWS and Azure cloud environments.
  • Analyze and resolve configuration issues across development, test, and production environments.
  • Implement monitoring, logging, and auditing to support security compliance requirements.
  • Design and implement secure (Zero Trust) cloud infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Application Owners, Network, Security, and delivery teams to design and implement cloud security solutions.
  • Design and maintain infrastructure in AWS and Azure.
  • Support cloud security design, operations, and automation.
  • Document security tools, deployment configurations, and incident reports.

Required Qualifications

  • 10 years of experience in network security and engineering.
  • Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience designing, deploying, scaling, upgrading, troubleshooting, and optimizing Palo Alto VM-Series firewalls in AWS and Azure cloud environments.
  • Experience with Panorama management, security policy design, threat prevention tuning, and log analysis.
  • Demonstrated ability to architect Zero Trust controls using Palo Alto technology.
  • 5 years of experience deploying, configuring, and maintaining F5 BIG-IP LTM.
  • Experience with major security compliance frameworks, including ARC-AMP (formerly MARS-E), NIST, HIPAA, PII, SOX, PCI, CMMC, and CUI.
  • Security experience supporting state and local government customers.
  • College degree or 10+ years of equivalent experience as a Palo Alto Cloud Engineer.
  • Must hold a Palo Alto, AWS, or Azure certification.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Self-starter.
  • Experience with Panorama templates, device groups, GlobalProtect in cloud, and high availability VPN/traffic routing on VM-Series.
