Job Title: MEDITECH Client/Server Clinical Applications Analyst

Overview / Summary

The MEDITECH Client/Server Clinical Applications Analyst is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, evaluating, and developing clinical MEDITECH application tools to meet customer needs. This role supports project implementation activities, documents requirements, defines scope and objectives, and provides ongoing support for system break/fixes, enhancements, maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, and issue management. The position focuses on MEDITECH Client/Server clinical applications while supporting provider and nursing workflows and operates under general supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and support MEDITECH Client/Server EHR and related functionality, including Order Management, Clinical Documentation, Medication Reconciliation, Patient Tracking, and Discharge.
  • Maintain and support MEDITECH modules including OE, POM, PCS, NUR, PCM, PDOC, RXM, and ERX.
  • Maintain and support Intellidose and its integration with MEDITECH Client/Server.
  • Collaborate with nursing and clinical informatics teams to optimize and enhance existing workflows.
  • Support and maintain MEDITECH application dictionaries and configurations.
  • Provide end-user support for hospital applications and systems.
  • Provide technical support for external interfaces and integrations with third-party systems and partner sites.
  • Review, schedule, test, implement, and document system modifications, upgrades, and application changes.
  • Troubleshoot system issues through resolution while providing timely, high-quality customer service.
  • Escalate issues to vendors as needed and monitor vendor tickets through resolution.
  • Provide after-hours on-call support to troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
  • Work with client users and functional teams as needed.
  • Adhere to change management processes for break/fix requests and system changes.
  • Perform system testing to ensure product functionality works as designed.
  • Assist in documenting user requirements, program functions, and development or modification steps.
  • Document build activities, update vendor application specifications, perform integration and unit testing, and adhere to version control processes.
  • Collect user requirements, translate them into system feature enhancements, and request enhancements from system administrators.
  • Evaluate and analyze EHR features and functionality for problem resolution.
  • Support operational and clinical processes aligned with client best practices.
  • Exercise independent judgment to determine appropriate solutions based on analysis performed.
  • Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
  • Communicate effectively with executives, managers, subject matter experts, clients, and team members.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with customers, clients, co-workers, and management.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • MEDITECH build, testing, and implementation experience.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of application analysis and coordination experience, or five (5) years of professional/technical healthcare experience involving clinical workflow, operations, or clinical systems support preferred.
  • Experience building and supporting MEDITECH Client/Server.
  • Experience supporting MEDITECH modules including OE, POM, PCS, NUR, PCM, PDOC, RXM, and ERX.
  • Experience with MEDITECH Client/Server 5.66 or higher is a plus.
  • Experience supporting and participating in a MEDITECH upgrade is a plus.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to communicate resolutions to customers.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, analytical, problem-solving, and multitasking skills.
  • Strong client, vendor, project team, and employee relationship skills.
  • Strong work ethic, customer service orientation, teamwork, dependability, and promptness.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent education and experience.
  • 3–5 years of professional experience within a computing environment with demonstrated progression in responsibilities.
  • 3–5 years of experience maintaining and supporting MEDITECH Client/Server EHR.
  • Experience using ServiceNow ticket management system preferred.
  • Previous healthcare industry experience required.
