Test Engineer – Engine Dynamometer

Overview / Summary

We are seeking a Test Engineer to support Engine Performance Development through engine dynamometer testing and validation. This role focuses on verifying engine attributes related to combustion, mechanical function, and durability through hands-on testing, data collection, processing, and reporting.

The role supports engine performance development, including test planning, execution, data analysis, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

Design and execute test plans to validate engine attributes.
Review test plans and execute testing to support engine performance development.
Perform engine dynamometer testing to validate combustion, mechanical function, and engine durability.
Work with cross-functional groups to execute test plans.
Collect and process test data.
Prepare test data and observations for presentations to cross-functional team members.
Support testing and validation of engine attributes related to combustion, mechanical function, and durability.
Perform test line-up, data processing, and reporting of data observations.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
Experience with engine combustion development testing and calibration development.
Experience in engine design or knowledge of engine functions.
Background knowledge of engine testing and instrumentation.
Familiarity with data processing tools, combustion data analysis, and engine controls and calibration.
Experience with data collection.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with data analysis.
Mechanical development experience.
Understanding of engine functions.
