Job Title: Senior UX Architect – Agentic AI & Design Systems
Position Overview
This role sits at the intersection of AI tools and the information they use. The work focuses on building reusable agentic AI capabilities, structuring knowledge so AI agents can reliably search and use it, and connecting AI tools to live design files, research data, code, and workflow systems.
The role also owns key information knowledge sources across areas such as user research findings, design systems and brand guidelines, front-end components, accessibility requirements, and writing standards. Success requires hands-on AI development, production coding, systems integration, automation, and the ability to create documented and reusable ways of working.
What You'll Do / Key Responsibilities
- Define and maintain the dividing line between AI tools and the information they read, allowing informational knowledge to be updated without rebuilding the tool and enabling tools to be reused with different information sources.
- Own information knowledge sources across areas including user research findings, design systems and brand guidelines, front-end components, accessibility requirements, and writing standards.
- Restructure existing documents and design files into organized, searchable information that AI agents can use reliably.
- Create a single written set of design and accessibility rules that can be applied consistently across tools.
- Maintain reference numbers that stay attached to work as it moves between systems, skills, and tools, allowing completed UI screens to be traced back to the research findings on which they were based.
- Record what tools do as they run to support reporting on work duration, craft quality, human review rounds, and traceability to research evidence.
- Tune automated checks to reduce false positives and establish a documented process for setting aside checks when legitimate exceptions exist.
- Develop written playbooks documenting how new ways of working operate.
- Build AI agents and reusable AI skills that perform multi-step tasks.
- Connect AI tools to live design files, research data, and code using MCP.
- Automate the movement of completed work into Jira and its submission for engineering review.
- Write and ship production code for systems integration and automation.
- Support CI/CD and pipeline automation while maintaining reference numbers as work moves between systems.
- Implement instrumentation and telemetry to record and measure system activity.
Required Qualifications
- Hands-on experience building AI agents and reusable AI skills in Claude Code, Claude Cowork, Claude Design, ChatGPT Work, and Codex.
- Experience building tools that other people have used; experience limited to prompting an AI assistant is not sufficient.
- Experience structuring written documents, standards, and undocumented knowledge into organized, searchable information for agentic AI.
- Experience with information architecture, taxonomy, or schema design.
- Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol) for connecting large language models to live knowledge source files, code repositories, and data sources.
- Experience writing and shipping production code in Python and TypeScript.
- Experience with CI/CD and pipeline automation using GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or equivalent.
- Experience with instrumentation and telemetry, including observability or event tracking.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Microsoft Copilot Studio or a comparable tool for building automation without heavy coding.
- Experience with RAG (retrieval augmented generation) or grounding LLMs in trusted company data.
- Figma plugin experience sufficient to read and understand plugin code written by someone else.
- Design linting and static analysis experience.
- Familiarity with how data is structured inside Jira and Confluence.
- Experience in insurance, financial services, or another heavily regulated industry.
