Job Title : Senior IT Project Manager

Position Overview

Lead large-scale strategic technology initiatives that have executive visibility, complex stakeholder environments, and long-term organizational impact. This role is responsible for driving project governance, coordinating cross-functional teams and vendors, managing project health, and ensuring successful delivery throughout the full project lifecycle.

What You'll Do

Lead large strategic projects and programs from initiation through closeout.
Manage executive-level stakeholder engagement, including project health reporting and monthly sponsor meetings.
Coordinate product owners, development leadership, business stakeholders, and vendors to align release scope and expectations.
Establish and maintain governance frameworks, work intake processes, and operational procedures.
Develop project plans, staffing strategies, budgets, schedules, and status reporting.
Monitor project quality, scope, risks, and issues, escalating to executive leadership when appropriate.
Ensure project execution aligns with established project management methodology and organizational prioritization processes.
Contribute to departmental objectives through additional project management and operational activities as needed.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of experience working effectively within matrix organizations.
5+ years of experience resolving complex, high-priority conflicts and competing requirements.
5+ years of experience applying Project Management principles, methodologies, and best practices.
5+ years of experience with system development methodologies for new systems and enhancements to existing information systems.
5+ years of experience communicating stakeholder needs clearly and effectively.
5+ years of experience building consensus, facilitating working sessions, and negotiating outcomes across teams.
5+ years of experience managing stakeholder relationships and resolving issues.
Demonstrated ability to work independently in ambiguous environments while building governance and operational processes.

Preferred Qualifications

Previous experience in a government or public sector environment.
Experience serving in multiple project or program leadership roles, such as Project Manager, Program Manager, Project Coordinator, or similar.
