Job Title: IT Asset Management & Deployment Specialist (onsite)
Position Overview
Support the full lifecycle of technology devices while combining hands-on desktop support, IT deployment, asset management, inventory coordination, and stakeholder service. This role supports the receipt, deployment, maintenance, tracking, auditing, and disposal of technology assets while helping maintain an organized and secure warehouse environment.
The position requires strong procedural discipline, attention to detail, accurate documentation, quality-focused execution, and a commitment to providing excellent service to stakeholders.
What You'll Do
- Support each phase of the technology asset lifecycle, from acquisition and deployment through maintenance and disposal.
- Serve as a first point of contact for technology purchase-related support, including order status inquiries, onboarding/offboarding support, delivery schedules, and pickup of old technology.
- Coordinate and schedule timely technology deployment to district locations and schools.
- Conduct new-hire orientations and/or best-practice workshops when devices are deployed.
- Maintain the warehouse/vault, including staging and labeling bays and shelves for efficient organization and accessibility.
- Provide timely and accurate responses to stakeholder concerns and inquiries.
- Follow established procedures and guidelines for technology deployment and asset management.
- Maintain accurate records for incoming technology orders, asset receipts, partial vendor orders, and district inventory.
- Troubleshoot and resolve order, warranty, and delivery issues with colleagues, vendors, and carriers.
- Assist with physical inventory and technology audits, including lost/stolen, damaged-device, and targeted inventory reporting.
- Manage stock inventory to ensure technology and equipment are available for deployment.
- Develop and update internal knowledge articles and frequently asked questions.
- Follow warehouse safety guidelines and ensure assets are securely organized and stored.
- Collaborate with other teams on projects, tasks, and incidents related to asset management.
- Provide professional, courteous, and empathetic customer service to stakeholders.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Required Qualifications
- Associate’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Proven experience in asset management and IT deployment.
- Minimum of five (5) years of desktop/computer support experience, including troubleshooting and routine maintenance of computers and peripheral equipment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint.
- Familiarity with ITSM and ITAM tools and database management.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to follow strict procedures and create reports reflecting accurate metrics.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and prioritize requests professionally and empathetically.
- Self-motivated and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment.
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds without assistance.
- Must own reliable transportation and have a valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting Apple, HP, Lenovo, and Dell products.
- Asset management and IT deployment experience in an educational or large enterprise setting.
