HTC’s master data standardization helps a leading network analytics provider seamlessly migrate to a new ERP system

CLIENT

Our client is a U.S. based provider of web type interface software for searching, monitoring, and analysis of machine-generated big data. They were planning to migrate to a new ERP with an aggressive project timeline and were looking to standardize their master data as crucial aspect of the migration.

BUSINESS CHALLENGES

The client had set a challenging target for the migration to new ERP (SAP S/4 HANA). The major challenges were in managing their master data as it contained obsolete, duplicate, and incomplete records, necessitating an update. On closer examination, HTC also found that the records for different countries were grouped incorrectly. The client also realized that the initial volume estimate was inaccurate and that the actual record count was 10 times the initial estimate.
